Nowadays, there are more electric vehicles on the streets and alleys, and people who pick up children and go to work ride electric vehicles. What is the difference between an electric motorcycle and an electric bicycle? We speak from the following aspects.

Different materials for vehicle frame. Although the two vehicles are two-wheeled models, their frames are made of different materials. Generally, electric motorcycles are heavier and heavier, and their frames are made of thicker steel. Bicycles are made of relatively light and thin steel pipes. On the one hand, the difference here causes a difference in weight, on the other hand, it also causes a difference in cost. Generally, electric motorcycles are more expensive, and this is the reason.

The braking system is different. The speed of motorcycles is generally faster, while the speed of bicycles is slower. Therefore, motorcycles require stricter braking systems and require higher reliability. Bicycles do not need to invest too much energy in these braking systems. Under normal circumstances, electric motorcycles use hydraulic disc brakes, while electric bicycles use holding brakes or drum brakes.

The principle of shock absorption is different. These two vehicles have special shock absorber systems, but the principles they apply are different. The shock absorber used by electric motorcycles is hydraulic shock absorber, while the shock absorber used by electric bicycles is spring shock absorber. Electric motorcycles with hydraulic systems are more comfortable to sit on and have much less vibration, while electric bicycles are not so easy to ride.
